Azim Premji Philanthropic Initiatives is partnering with Bharatbala Productions, the creators of AR Rahman's Vande Mataram, in the telling of great Indian stories. Called "Virtual Bharat", the project presents evocative and moving vignettes that represent the diversity, plurality and richness of the Indian Ethos.
The first of ten films is on the Kerala boat races and is presented by AR Rahman. Titled "Thaalam", it exhorts us to find our rhythm as a nation through the story of 150 men finding theirs on a boat.
